Default Adjusting clutch arm

You know the one on top of the gearbox that activates via the clutch pedal and cable. If its been replaced is it supposed to line up with anything? Should it be adusted? If I do what effect does it have?

i think it has a "master" spline mate, basically you can only have it in one position.

ah cheers mate was not aware of that. So the splines are basically there to give the arm something to grip.

from what i remember yeah, theres a notch out of one so you can get the bolt through, so essentially you cant fit it any other way.

You are right mate, you can only mount the arm in one position so the bolt will get through the arm. It cant`t be fitted in any other way.

The spines give the arm the grip, exactly like the bar that goes to the CV joint in the transmission.

Maybe my cable is old and stretched then. Have sorted the pedal and the clutch so would make sense to change it. Are there any better ones to fit or just stick with RST.
