Maybe stupid question but has it anything to do with Lotus Elise?

they use the body off an elise, fit 2 turbo's, map it to 1100bhp then charge you a quarter of a million!

 

Looks a nice toy.

 

I'd be quite interested to see if it actually works. As obviously the Elise is a very handy little car, but I wonder if extending it that much has spoilt it.

What sort of engine is in it? Something modern, or a pig iron old V8?

 

I dug out the article i have on it, to straighten out my facts.

There are 3 models available.
725 bhp
1000 bhp
1200 bhp

the engine is a twin turbo version of a corvette V8
it has a 6 speed box, with programmable traction control

0 - 62mph 2.2 seconds
Top speed, expected 272mph
it has 15" brakes at the front, 14" at the rear.
the shell is lotus up to the seats, behind those its bespoke.

i got my prices abit wrong!

prices start at Ł396,000 for the 725bhp version, up to Ł480,000 for the 1200 bhp one.
just 10 a year will be made.

arse end looks like an ascari ! sounds the bollox though, i'd never drive it, just sit there listening to it sing all day long !
