Default Welding Advice for novice please

Hi

Can anyone suggest the best / easiest type of welder to start to learn / make a decent job with?

I have till march to get my XR4x4 ready for MOT or it'll have to be stripped and scrapped as I have no off road stoarge available.

I have never welded before and have to fix the inner sills and the foot wells to make it ready to pass.

Cheers

V6

I would use a Mig welder, you need one with gas, gasless ones are crap. I would reccomend the clarke 151TE Turbo, cheapest place i can find it is thewelderswarehouse.com (try that address without 'the' if it doenst work) for Ł194 delivered. Machine mart also have ok prices.
