Default Black Smoke

Ive got a tiny tiny bit of black smoke once you lift off after revving the car, i dunno if it happens while the car is driving as i cant see anything, but if you are stationary and rev it a bit then let off, a tiny bit, now not a lot, jus a bit of black smoke comes out, what does this mean?

Overfuelling ? Could this be the cause of the backfiring im getting on full boost? i thought the fueling was run by the ECU, so there is no way of turning it down?

yeah that could be your problem. if i was you i'd book it in for a tune up at a well known and reputable rolling road. will probably be like a different car when it's done. definitely sounds like fuelling probs though.

oh didn't realise you were in northern ireland. could you get a boat across and then go to motorsport developments in blackpool.or you could just take it in to somewhere in N.I. and ask them to check the base C.O. levels at idle. then they can adjust if necessary i suppose.

yeah to be honest it should be ok to pass an m.o.t . i would honestly get it over here mate and have it looked at by an expert. fuelling trouble is usually the main reason a turbo car will die. it may be running all over the shop and you don't wan't problems with it leaning off or even being too rich and causing borewash. is it modified?
