hi folks, i've just stripped my broken engine from my s2 and wondered if anyone could id the cam, it is stamped "sx428" and was purchased from power engineering according to history, also the second hand engine i got has a ford cam with "ca" stamped on it, it seems like a re ground cam, any ideas?, cheers in advance, steve

 

its the same as mine mate its a old power engineering cam that you cant get anymore it was made from better material than most avaliable today and is a good all rounder....

mine is going to karlos when my newman is fitted...

 

it's worth keeping then?, excuse my ignorance, i'm new to turbo's,

 

Last topic about this cam was saying they really good.so worth keeping!

 

i would keep mine mate but im looking for my car to rev to 7k but then i need solid lifters so thats the only reason mine is going

same cam i have in my cab, very similar to the piper 285 according to power engineering, ive always found it very good
