a small bit front and back is ok mate, its up and down or side to side thats bad, if its not smoking or burning oil then it should be fine, but if your set on it to be safe then its worth doing IMO

before you start the car again a good idea to take off the dizzy cap and turn engine over for 30 secs to get some oil around the turbo before full start up mate its called priming the turbo, saves running it dry

for both mate as they will dry out if left stod still, its precausionery really, tick over is about 750 rpm with a tendancy for your turbo to spin up fast on start up and most probably be very dry of oil unless you use some sort of fully synthetic or wynns coating, so best to be safe and just prime it mate

So with the car sitting about with no oil in the turbo could cause the play.once oil in the turbo it should'nt move in and out.. sorry if im having a blonde moment.

no wear will only be caused by it being dry on start up or old age after abuse which its does not seem you have, if you are going to start it after a long period of non use its best to prime to be safe and put oil in first before you start the car
