i am having problems opening & sending e-mails from my hotmail account.
it appears that messenger is continually trying to load which is blocking everything else.

i dont use messenger at all, but recently it has been displaying a new page which is trying to get me to link into facebook, twitter, bebo. could this have something to do with it?

i am running windows 7 with explorer 9, i was using explorer 8 with the same problem so updated hoping it would fix it.

any ideas people?

Have a simular problem.

Using Windows Ultimate 7, ie8 also using firefox. Downloaded the new messenger then had a hacker. They sent a few spam emails, somthing like fake trainers etc.

Not had any emails or notifications of facebook since the new software was downloaded.
