Bailey oil breather wrecking my metering unit?

Default Bailey oil breather wrecking my metering unit?

Hey folks just purchased an xr2 turbo which has a bailey oil breather fitted to it and is plumbed into the metering unit! problem isthe spark plugs are covered in shit, the metering unit has oil inside it when i push down the flap and look inside and theres oil coming out the dump valve! any suggestions?

vent it to either a catch tank or atmosphere and block off the metering unit, if money is tight then fit the pipe into a pop bottle or similar to catch the oil just make sure it isnt a tight fit in the bottle as air needs to escape as well

Money aint tight but the engine bay is lol so a catch tank would defo not fit! cheers for the advice mate

oil comeing out of the d/v means it breathing heave i would look at your pipes on the bailey breather 1st i bet there full of crap

As i said last night mate, we will just vent the bastard to atmosphere, never been a fan of putting the breather back into the inlet.

block the pipe at the metering unit and leave to atmos ....

If cleaning the breathers doesnt sort it out then I would say you have ring wear, it is breathing far too heavy

lol, not good if your ring is worn the other way of looking at it is the breather aint doing its job correctly of seperating the oil from the fumes, the oil should go back to the block and the fumes back into the metering unit. Ive already blanked off your metering unit with a turned plastic bung mate
