Brett the lunatic with the porsche 928 is claiming to have done 208mph

So it sounds like he finally hit his 200mph target.

Apparently he did it out on the road though not at brunters or similar and no independant witnesses or anything, so obviously not "official"

Interesting though as I believe its still a standard engine (other than the 700bhp nitrous kit!)

 

TBH anyone doing that on a public road needs a good slap.

 

Agreed, its not just irresponsible, its also pointless as the speed acheived has as much to do with how stupid you are at keeping your foot in than how powerful your car is, so its not really a direct comparison.

But all that said and done, over 200 is still a pretty exclusive club to be in!

 

928 blow engines up without any extra help from nos, would it hold together really for more than 10 seconds ?, sure it's not the author been taking the nos ?

i am sure i was taking to this guy a pod at central day seemed to have some very big tanks in the back lol.

 

Im afraid I know nothing at all about 928 engines mate. so no idea if it would take it or not.

at pod he was saying it was a top speed car just testing the noz. his times werent that good but its a top speed car.

 

As far as im aware he has done nothing to get it off the line quicker, last I saw it seemed to be on standard old suspension and cheap tyres.
But I guess if he was just playing with terminals that wouldnt matter too much

 

Read about this the other day sounds a bit sus. Have you seen the back to the future style control panel in it .

Lol, I don`t need an "Independent Body" to confirm anything, I did this for ME, although I actually do have proof that a couple of the local Porsche guys have seen...

But the point for me was to do it with a totally standard 928 (not a stripped down racer) and to achieve my aim of going faster than any road going production Porsche including the V10 Porsche CGT which has a top speed of 205/206 mph.

This was never about "records" for official books, it was about my utter faith in WON and the new REVO system.

I talked to Ant at WON about this & they confirmed its totally in his head. The car has a 1000bhp Nitrous capability but its limited to a 200 shot.
Its done a 13.8 quarter also a claimed record hardly 200mph pace .

 

Rod, you havent spoken to Ant recently enough I suspect mate, when was that?

And like I have already said, its shit on the quarter, nothing has been done to it to help it on the quarter.

He's got GPS datalogs to prove the speed apparently.

 

Yep!! bought some jets last week this is months old broke on Pistonhead ages ago.

 

Last time I heard anything about that car it had SO much power it was lighting the tyres up on the whole 1/4 mile @ santa pod, shame the 15 second pass at under 100mph didn't really convince me it was as fast as he thought.

What is the best 1/4 mile its done now Chip ?

Seems weird Trev isnt disputing the fact that Brett is saying Trev has seen the proof if you are right Rod.

13.8 - he claimes thats a record for a 928, hes totally Bonkers & a real problem for Ant & Trev cant really say what they said about him because as they said hes spent a lot of dosh.

Trev's a clever enough guy that your car hasnt been able to get to 200mph without his help yet


I've got a lot of time for Ant, he has a lot of knowledge without being quite so promotional, but ultimately TBH I really do think Trev actually does know more about nitrous than anyone else, so you cant really hate him too much for claiming it, its a bit like when people hate you for sayin you have the fastest cossie, you do have so why shouldnt you say it?
