Default Stage 2 T3 .36 to small for 2.0ZVH

Hi!

Is a Stage 2 T3 Turbo .36 exhaust housing to small for a 2.0ZVH?
Would like to get ~230hp and a fast spool up.

to be honest it wouldnt have any lag realy.... but whats the spec of engine and is it efi or mfi....

the turbo will do 230bhp on the right engine... (see karlos g) thats what hes running on the same turbo but on a 1600 with megasquirt...

if its still on mfi it will be running out of fuel before boost lol as they will only safely flow to around 210bhp... then you would need at least a 5th injector.

then yes its possible mate and would be a nice spec... it might start to run out of puff at high revs tho... alot of people say a stage 3 t3 works great with zvh...

yes mate it would be less stessed at 230bhp and would hold onto the boost alot longer and theres scope for alot more in the future if you wanted to to ...

on a 1600 they top out at 270/280 depending on engine spec and mapping but tend to make a abit more on zetec turbo....

for you car i would either fit cosworth stage2 t3 or just fit a t34 .48 as either on a zetec turbo will do the 300bhp you are looking for and wont be maxxed out and still quite responsive

it all depends on where you want the power, my zetec turbo reved more freely at high revs with a .48 t3, and i would say the boost came in about 200rpm later, no difference in actual lag time as the turbos internals are the same size. I had a .63 t34 on my 2litre zvh, it made full boost at 4k, was really laggy as the turbos internals were a lot heavier. Too big IMO for the power i was making

never had a 34 .48 on a 1600 mate, so i cant comment, only on a 2 litre. At a guess, and it is a guess, i would say peak boost around 4k.

As it's a 2.0 I would want to run a .48, but unless your head is well ported with bigger valves and the correct spec cam it's not going to flow well and the .36 might be better, if it is the above then the .36 will be restrictive at mid-high rpms upwards.. IMO.

my mate ran a t4 off a bently on his vr6 turbo golf, it never made peak boost topped out at 7 psi at 6500 rpm, was more like a supercharger, the boost just climbed with the revs lol. it was a 1.3 ar on the exhaust! was later changed to a .63 ar t34, what a difference, peak boost of 1.2 bar at only 3k.

I have a stage 2 T3 on running on my 2.0 ZVH. It seems to spool up really quick, not much lag at all. In fairness ive never really known any different though so cant compare it against much.

If that question is aimed at me then yes, looking at my history folder I have receipts for a "stage 3 Cylinder Head Developments head, Kent CVH35 cam and vernier pulley" not sure what makes it a stage three though.

if the question wasnt for me the take no notice of what ive just said, lol.

No lag with a .63 t34? i would hate to see what you would describe as a laggy turbo
