Default frs Don't know if I can live with it?

I've just bought a focus rs and I don't know wether I can live with it? it's a great car but the ride is is very harsh, I just wondered whether anyone else feels the same?

Thanks,

Ant.
P.S. How do I know if my suspension is standard?

Ride is very harsh as standard mate. Thats all the fun of buying an RS isn't it, not meant to be a smooth comfy car?!

lol, have peek through the wheels, you should be able to see the 'sachs' sticker on the dampers to make sure they're standard.

I've just sold one of those!! ( it was the wifes)

I'm starting to get used to it now, I think the problem is that I had a bmw 330 club sport and it was very comfy and sivilized, and this car is a bit of a culture shock! it feels like an animal! but the more I drive it the more I like it, which is a good sign.

Ant.

P.S. Is it just me who's this soft or has anyone else thought the same?

Default living with an FRS

I have just bought an Focus Rs,and while the ride is quite stiff,i do not find it overly stiff, but let's face it,it is a proper hot hatch, there is a bit of turbo lag, there is a bit of torque steer, the ride is a bit stiff......................BUT,what a car!!!

i agree that the ride is firm but not harsh, drive a type R and then you will know what harsh is!

the RS is just a driver`s car. if you want a comfy car you should get yourself an old scorpio or something

rs4all,

If you want a comfy ride, treat yourself to a Range Rover! Proper laid back car.

P.S

Hows your splinters? and can you email me your address so that i can send you the pics of the wedding RS's (they are decent)

Clay, Carrie and Christine

Thanks clay, as you know since i first posted this, i now have a new range rover the focus is in the garage I really do love this car though, i never seem to get bored of driving it, and I find myself rushing home to give it a thrash! and I don't find it that harse anymore either? On our trip over to you the car was unbelievable, I didn't feel like we were going that fast, just that everyone else seemed to be going slow?? Also i do think that this is one of the best looking cars out there, no one has said a dicky bird about the range rover but everyone goes mad over the focus, from kids to grandads!

nanoo nanoo,

Ant.
