Default fast ford's puma paintjob

i think i am correct in thinking that it was painted using satin black hammerite, the pictures i saw in the mag the finished looked good.

does anybody know if the finish has lasted or has it deteriorated over time?

my reason for asking is that i need to get some paint on my project before the frost, snow & heavy rain sets in as it is kept outside and im hoping to use it on the road over the winter to iron out some niggles, but i dont have much of a budget at the moment.

or does anybody have any ideas for a cheap paintjob that will look half decent. i can get access to a compressor & empty shed for a weekend if need be.

cheers Neil

thanks, how did it die?

just watched a video on youtube of a guy in the states painting his car with something called rustoleum and a roller, quite shocked by how good it looked.

lol the tags are for me!

Basically, was bored, fancied a change, so a 2am random paintjob under spot lights was just the job.

I'm sure you could do it with primer and laquers but i just gave teh car a scotch brite, wiped the dust off and applied paint.

Looked ok, next day as a bit patchy in area's, went over them again and if i say so myself, it looked mint

Died as it was costing me money, did a head, needed welding and started acting up on way to MOT, so i threw the towel in and got a Focus.

Satin is much nicer than matt IMO
