Default how much power can an ap 4 paddle handle?

as above, my turbos clutch is slipping when turbo kicks in, my car is running 220bhp at the fly wheel, i thought that one of these clutches would be able to handle this power, anybody else had any issues with them? or could it possibly be anything else?

The 4 paddle can but you will need a decent pressure plate to keep the load on.

How man miles has it done? Paddles done last very long as there is so little material, or have you just fitted it and it's slipping?

i had the clutch fitted in july 2008 i would say its done no more than 3000 miles as it never comes out of my garage only to go to ford fair and back, i had the fly wheel skimmed before fitting, and not had nothing done to my clutch pedal,

You dont need to do it for the paddle clutches, only the AP Organic range as the cover plate has massive pressure and doesnt dissengage properly without modding the pedal for more travel.

I suggest the AP2000-35 as your replacement. I switched to this from the 4 paddle which was also slipping on mine around the same sort of power level as you. The pressure plate was the weak point on mine.

The 2000-35 kit has the strongest pressure plate available from AP. You can use this with your existing paddle clutch IF this is still serviceable but it will be brutal!

AP don't sell this plate with the 4 paddle as a kit for this reason. In kit form it comes with an organic clutch which so far for me, has been fine.

Yeah, I did. Parts for the conversion aren't expensive. I personally found it a right bitch of a job to do and wouldn't want to do it again! Details of whats needed are here http://www.apracing.com/info/info.as...difications_90

I've not heard of an ahmed cover before so I would call AP in order to find out exactly what you have. I found them really helpful on the phone. Best number for them is; 02476 639 595.
