I k ow the artist - the pointer sisters.
All I need to know is the kids series that they used this song as the theme tune to.

I know there music was in beverly hills cop and grand theft auto vice city ,dont recall any kids programme with it though

 

It was a robot model type thing, one of them Japanese ones like battle of thr planets, but in model form rather than animated, There was anoher one like it where this group of lads goes out to fight off some aliens and their ship was like an x and it was titchy compared to their foes and they couldnfo out and become a robot as well that had 3 parts that joined up.

As for star fleet, that was one of the must see Sunday morning shows when I was a kid and everyone would come to school and discuss stuff like that, and the water margin and moneky magic and knight rider and the a team and airwolf amongst other things
