So annoying when it cost £19 to list the car then you take time out of your day to wait around for these people then they do that. Cant believe this still goes on. I tried to open a dispute and it will only let me cancel the transaction, i cant leave bad feedback either, ebay is a timewasters paradise. Gonna close the account

i had a gear box for sale. the guy told me to keep it for him for 4 week till he got paid, i could of sold it 3 times since then but i promised it to him, then he email me telling me he doesnt want it anymore its just full of pricks.

I have stopped selling on Ebay, everything is totally on the buyers side, it's a fucking joke and a total rip-off, and generally full of unemployed cunts using the system to steal from you.

 

i,ve been fooked around three time with a phone think they shoul bill them if they dont pay. it will soon stop people fooking around !

 

if you list in 'parts' and start at 99p you dont pay owt

 

I "sold" my st lump to some bloke who said to keep it for him and he'd pay me in a few months. He's still not turned up so I'm going to fit it into something

 

i have bought and sold hundreds of things on ebay and only had bother 5 or 6 times.not bad ratio.you dont often hear about the time somebody made £100 over what they expected.i was mucked about this weekend with a knob who bidded but didnt exist.lost £205 but ill keep using ebay as it gives you a wide audience and there are more genuine folk than timewasters.you get timewasters everywhere mate.

 

Have to agree with 155lee tbh,generally found it ok but obviously still a lot of cocks on there.

I find it best to put only a number up and I tend to refuse to bother answering messages on there unless it's regarding buy it now as IMHO if your interested you'll phone.

Got to be honest the worst I've found is pistonheads so far,ive put some really well priced cars on there without so much as a sniff.

 

for selling a car i found pistonheads was far worse than ebay for timewasters

**touch wood** i have only had one prob as a buyer on ebay and none as a seller and the problem as a buyer was resolved in the disputes with pretty much zero effort.

its no different than selling stuff on autotrader ect now u just get stupid emails/calls years ago they used to be on your doorstep

 

does my head in, every time i sell something i'm always waiting to be messed around,
happens more and more these days,
but saying that i had an old beetle on last week,
i was wanting 300-350 for it, ended at 466,
i was sure the guy was gonna mess me around as he emailed me wanting me to deliver it,
and he couldn't paypal me a deposit, i wasn't happy about doing it, but was just gonna take money off him if he started messing me around,
but got to his house on sat afternoon(only 15 mins up the road from me),
guy was over the moon and paid cash straight away, and offered to pay me for delivering it, but as he seemed genuine i didnt charge him,
just goes to show that there is some genuine buyers out there,
must say i was surprised but i wasn't complaining, i got 100 more than i expected

 

i have to admit ebay is great for a good audience and ive sold plenty without problems but the waster are becoming more common, think i'll just use it for bit in future rather than cars as dont have anywhere near as much trouble with smaller stuff

i find pistonheads much better, all have been genuine from there so far.
