for the fiesta, only mods are later spec fiesta wheels and brakes and poly bushes on the rear beam
it's gone up by £47 this year with an additional years no claims, and an additional years worth of her driving
originally i was insured on the mondeo with a free "spouses can drive your car with no checks" type policy, but then last year, when she actually passed her test, they wanted her to be named on the policy, so now i've got to name her on the policy which means twice the paperwork
so, anyone still doing the free spouse cover?

I think it was about an extra £50 for a K&N and Magnex on the policy, but in the event of an accident standard parts would be used to replace 'em. Horses for courses really, if you want like for like you've gotta pay the (inflated) premium!!
As shite as they are they offer the cheapest quotes for me so i'm sticking with them till they do something really wrong, been with the in both admiral and bell form for 4 years.
And at the moment i'm letting them off with taking nearly twice what they quoted me for renewal last year out of my account causing me to cancel my cards! No explanation, just sorry no idea why that happened have £100 off your insurance, so £100 cheaper but not really worth the hassel they put me through

Well they can fuck right off as they are £160 higher than the renewal
been through most of the insurance sites now and they all seem to want over £650, for a poxy fiesta
Suppose I'll have to phone about and see if I can do the old switcheroo on them by saying someone else is cheaper and hoping they drop the price.

Good tip for Elephant users:
Do a new quote online (as a new customer but same details) its usually cheaper than your renewal quote!!
You then ring up and quote the reference number or tell them you did a new quote and they'll do it for the cheaper price.
