Default Am I now allowed to now sell my car on here?

Hi all,as I've now closed up my business would I be allowed to sell my car on here?I'm not desperate to out it right now but I'm just debating whether to renew my gold membership or not?

I'm unlikely to be involved in the motortrade for sometime now as I'm going back to being a spark (fingers crossed!!!) so the four cars a year allowance would be great for me.

I can understand that parts selling may have some issues involved as I did acquire them to sell on even though that was nearly 4 years ago now!!!

I can't see why it would be an issue to anyone on here really and let's be honest,if I do try to start trading,it won't take long for me to get found out now will it??

Is there some sort of cooling off period involved and if so how long?

Any help greatly appreciated as I don't want to get into an argument with anybody about this, from what I gather there was divided opinions last time as to whether or not I would even be considered a trader but I hope this can be more clearcut.

A constructive reply is most welcome!!!

Mark,

A genuine and on topic question ....

I am no longer in business and havent been for over 5 years.
SECS monitors havent been available for over a year.

Yet on a personal basis, I have some old personal stock that I am in no rush to sell as they are just gathering dust and times are hard etc...

I think you can see where I am going with this...

Am I allowed to sell these few remaining old units ?

The only difference I can see here is that Vaughant was never an official trader as far as I know where I was so the rules may be different for my situation ?

LMAO @ "some old personal stock" to make it try and sound like its nothing to do with your business selling them.

Nice try Simon!

Chip, it is a legitimate question so please dont turn this into a battle !!

I just want clarification as we are both in a similar situation with the exception I used to be an official trader on here and the other user didnt so the rules will probably exclude me and I want to know if this is the case.

As these days teh rules are open to interpretation, I just thought I would check so I dont get points !

No drama ! lol.

Having some old stock to sell is a bit different to just selling your own car mate, The old stock would have been to do with your old trade and would therefore only have been bought, made and then sold on for profit...

In Vaughants case he just wants to sell his own personal vehicle, not a backlog of old stock from his old trading days.

Hopefully Simon you can appreciate the difference between these two scenarios
