Anyone jalbroke 4.0.2 on the iphone 4 yet if so how/where

or have you JB 4.1 again if so where ?

i havn't updated mine yet 4.0.1.....i've been told to jailbreak it and given a site but i'd need to see the difference it makes/is there much point..??

 

You can download the apps for free from torrent sites.

If you on 4.02 you need to find out if you can get the shsh's for 4.01 or wait until tomorrow and you can jailbreak from 4.1

 

If there's a upto date jailbreak i might aswell update the phones software....

well i was bored so i jailbroke it............seemed a bit pants to me, nearlly all the stuff i tried didnt upload and had some type of error.......sod it updating to 4.1 now

 

Well you have done something wrong if your getting errors.

have you put cydia and installious on there as well

 

......cydia was on dont know about the other......i tried some ringtones and some apps......some worked but most either timed out or kept saying different problem.....in the end it was stuck on a screen applying,loading reloading to cydia or something for 10 mins.....so i turned the wifi off and plugged it into itunes and updated the phone......

 

99% of the ringtones, themes and wallpapers on Cydia are utter wank so avoid at all costs and probably why your getting errors. I have those hidden in Cydia as doing so increases the speed of Cydia some what.

You need to know what apps to go for on Cydia like biteSMS, SBSettings and Firewall IP are my top 3 jailbroken apps and cant live without lol. Others I recommend are Infinifolders ( removes 12 app limit within folders), NoSpot (removes the search spotlight when you flick to right on Springboard), iBlueNova (can Bluetooth to any phone using this), iBlacklist (Block numbers from being able to call or text you), FolderCloser (Auto closes folder after app launch), Remove background and also Remove Backround sbsettings toggle ( Lets you remove all apps running in the background at once instead of having to do them one by one in the bottom dock after you've double clicked the home button)

The only reason i jailbroke my old 3GS was for the TomTom....

Now i have the Iphone 4 i wouldnt bother tbh............ just update it and use it as normal....... I just pay for the apps i want, they are not too much anyway.

 

I still pay for all my apps be it on App Store or Cydia. I also donate to get themes I think are worth the money.

What are the best Cydia apps?

 

Any one use open app market? Works on non-jailbroken phones as well.

I've just down loaded it to start using it and I had a user hide agent on Safari so I could actually use the internet to some degree and it's only load the full site. If you do want to install it, make sure the user hide agent is off (if you have a jailbroken phone) and go to...

openappmkt.com and down load the app manager to the phone. It's not full of shite compared to Cydia (the adverts seriously piss me off) and it's faster, but does have a bug or 2.
