OK, to keep this simple i know that 20p without dates are worth a fair bit of money, and i remember seeing something about other coins but can't find anything specific.

Does anybody know anything about 5p's without a date ?

ive never heard of any 5p with no date, and i work in the mint

 

they have doubled there offer now but im still not letting mine go yet safely tucked away

but iam on the lookout for a 1986 20p if anyone has one please pm

just a regular 1986 20p im looking for to complete my collection went through a tub of me m8s a few weeks back some 200 odd 20p coins but no 86 coin

 

I've been coin collecting for over 30 years, have 12 undated 20p's, don't interest me tbh.
I have two original single colour/material £2 coins though, and a Irish £4 note!!
After Falkland Islands coins btw!!

i can remember my sister going through her pocket money when the dateless ones came out, and going 'this 20p has no date on it' we all just nodded and werent really interested, so she went and spent it at the shop. about a month later we found out there value lmao. pretty gutted.

 

I think i had/have 1-2 of them. It was before the actual £2 coin was released and came in a small plastic box. There was maybe even a £5 coin too. God knows where i would have them though,

 

we still make lots of £5 coins

 

I used to have a load of them from when I went there until my stepson decided to nick them.

 

how much are the 20p's actually selling for?

 

I've never seen them sell for the often banded about £100, maybe a few quid that's all.

ive have never heard of dateless coins, guess whos going to go throught there money box now lol

 

Cant say i collect money... but ive got 41 scottish £1 notes and 11 Jack Niklaus £5 notes. If i ever get either in change etc i just keep them. Doubt they are worth much more than the number printed on them tbh!

 

How come you never seem to come across these , I have seen them before but you never see them any more and if the mint are still making lots , what is happening to them?
