hi my akita is 14months old iv had him since 5 weeks any 1 here with a akita with pics thanx.

 

Pic is a bit small mate, lovly dogs akita's Wenny has a big male and another one of my mates has a pair of pure white ones.

 

lovely dogs, a good mate of mine has one, he breeds her, and has just found out she is expecting again, i must resist, i must resist lol

ive got a siberian husky, but as i said, im tempted to get one of my mates pups to keep my husky company

 

akitas r good but very powerfull and hate other dogs as they r very dominent. would put some more pics up later.

 

i've got a lovely scar on my hand from my mums japanese akita,
dont go anywhere near it now, it looks more like a bear than a dog.

not saying it was the dogs fault, or the breed etc but they are so powerful, and as you say are very dominant and need to be shown where they are in the family ladder.

my mate has 1 - lovely dog but as said already can be very dominant and they are fucking huge.

my mates 1 just wants to play all day but hate other dogs with a passion.

When they bark its usually just before they attack

 

bonny dog mate. i know what your saying about them being funny with other dogs, my mates akita mika, was very funny with kyla, my husky, when we first started walking them together, but the the more there together, the better they get, and kyla is a nightmare, she wants to play constantly, with people, and dogs, and at first, she used to wind mika up, but now, mika just looks at her like, 'piss off, i cant be arsed'. that was why i was tempted to get a pup, if i brought the pup up with kyla, she would be used to her.

huskys are my first love, but akitas are awesome, as said above, there like big bears. one of mikas pups, called tank, is one of the biggest akitas ive ever seen, his owner walks him past my house everyday, and he is HUGE, he was as a pup, hence why they called him tank

 

I have a male Akita who turned two last month.

He's absolutely awesome. A big teddy bear, lovely temperament towards people and other dogs and just wants to play with everybody.

guys as i said very dominent.nice pics like the husky was gona get 1 but as i found out there not a good guard dog and was tempted to go for d akita.akitas r good family pets especially with kids very protectve .i had a rotti before d akita and had to put him down cuz he had cancer and wasent curable but yeh pefer d rotti any day much more inteligent hence bought a rotti pup as in the pics.and they r very good with each other.keep the pics comin lol.
