i want to take out the old 1600injection cvh and if poss replace with something that will give me that little extra power needed but the most easiest way to do it im not to clever at mechanics but willing to learn so if any one has any tips or advice that would be great i dont want a turbo just something simple cheers guys

been told an xe engine will go straight in to my escort mk3 is that not a vauxhall engine?
if so how can it?

There is no really easy way. You will need the complete engine incl loom etc.

I put a 1.8 zetec later silver top in my escort this is the easiest route to go you dont have to change the sump, pick up, and water pump also dont need to change the flywheel either. You even use the cvh engine mount, the best gear box to go for would be the s1 turbo box again bolt straight up. You need to use the zetec loom, i used one from a fiesta si. With the proper tools and parts this can be done over a weekend.

im going to be doing this to a mk4 soon, the engine stuff aint a problem but the wiring in of the loom is what im not sure of, do you have a diagram of chopping in the zetec loom??

If you go 1.8 escort Zetec you don't have to change yes. But for the 2.0 mondie setup you have to change things
