Default who knows about old reg plates?

ive seen a fair few old mopeds with some good plates for under a ton
wondering if its poss to rape the reg or is there any reason i couldnt?

IIRC I heard years ago that you cannot transfer a plate that has been on a bike to a car, and vice versa - but I'm ready to be proved wrong !

Also some old cars have non transferable reg numbers, dont know if this applys to old mopeds aswell.

Some plates are non transferable, but bike to car and vice versa can be done, dad did NOI 6893 from his honda bike to his car, was few years ago now mind.

Can't remember the exact rules, but you can do most things, but transfers from tractors and milk floats can't be done (Or I could have dreamt that!)

yeah thats cos of mot i think

i figure i prob need to see a new style v5 to know its transferable
hmm maybe worth a punt to get a couple ans try i guess

I transferred a reg from a car to a bike this year,so I don't know why you

can't do it the other way round .

That did used to be the case. It's changed now and not sure when but easily done.

Oh ok Chop, I was fairly sure at some stage it wasn't possible. If it is now then good - can't see why it was ever an issue.
