Default Sierra Cosworth 4x4 - steering and accelerator pedal

Hi all,

Swapping one problem for another here on my Cossie. Still, they do seem to be getting smaller and smaller. Hopefully they get down to something so trivial as cigarette button.

problem 1-
I've noticed a slight 'knock' when turning left, very occasionally. I thought nothing of it but the other day I swear the steering 'slipped' as i felt a little knock on the wheel. Any ideas? How worried should I be

Problem 2-
Accelerator pedal has begun to stick occasionally when near or fully pressed, any tips/pointers on self diagnosing/fixing given I'm a Lehmann (not a lemon).

Any helpers/pointers would be greatly received.

cheers

It could possibly be the CV joints, drive slowly on going from lock to lock to see if you hear a clicking sound (Car park ideal)

The second problem I would first check the Throttle end itself to make sure the cable is not sticky there if not I would look at the pedal itself, there is carpet which goes around it which may have come adrift.

I'd also check the plastic steering bush in the bulkhead for wear, these can wear badly and give sloppy feelings.
