Default transit spec lifts anyone in the know?

been offered a smily face transit spec lift recovery van for the right money does anyone know how much they can lift and how reliable/complicated the hydralic system is as i know nothing about them thanks!

its not the lift thats the problem on the whole its the transit that rots around them, and unless its been uprated and has a weight on the front dont touch it, it will be illegal to use as the weight limits will be over on the rear axle.

i have looked at it ans it is solid i just now nothing about the spec lift side off things but thanks for advice about weight

If you look at the back of the cab towards the middle then if it's been worked very hard then it will almost appear to be bending.

Good trucks in general and the hydraulic systems a piece of piss to work on,just suffers from water getting on the solenoid plugs that operate the lift,but that's easily enough cured,bit of plate above it to let the water run off.

Worst thing is their very underpowered for what they are but they do seem too lug about most things and at least the lump won't ever break!!!!

its the older ones that bend the new gen 92 onwards chassis are ok, i run a 97 one myself pic up all sorts, od as for heavy loads, the aa bought out a aero wheel for the brimac lifts, it attaches to the boom you drop it down and it takes some of the weight off the rear axle
