Just make sure the type 9 is not a V6 type 9, as these have a different input shaft(longer).

Type 9, MT75 or T5.

I've fitted the later two. MT75 needs a modified release bearing. T5 needs a new flywheel.

When fitting a type 9 to the back of a zetec the starter location changes from std zetec position to the pinto position you will then find that 1 bolt hole from the type 9 wont do up as there is nothing there to bolt it to.

2 things you need to make life easy is the 1.8 escort flywheel that is listed on retro ford

http://retroford.co.uk/retro-shop/pr...products_id=93

Its been re-drilled to accept a pinto clutch or you could re-drill your own 1.8 escort flywheel if you have one.

and the spigot bearing

http://retroford.co.uk/retro-shop/pr...roducts_id=209

Did all this to a mk1 escort over the last month so i know it all works as it should do
