had a accident in my car today.
going round a roundabout, i'm in the right lane, galaxy in left lane. heading onto a duel carriageway as i turn off the roundabout i get shunted in the passenger rear door and half spun round. we both stop and exchange details. he says it's my fault as i turned in front of him.
i was exiting the roundabout onto the outside lane of the dual carriageway. he said he was turning right on the roundabout. surely if your turning right at a roundabout you would be in the right hand lane.

If you were exiting roundabout into the inside lane of dual carriageway, your fault.
If you were exiting roundabout into the outside lane of dual carriageway, his fault.
You're meant to maintain your lane if entering a roundabout on a dual lane junction, you should exit in the same lane. So, enter on outside, take roundabout on inside, exit roundabout on outside and vice versa.

The road markings are key but it sounds like he's at fault for turning right from the inside lane, though you had a duty to be sure your exit was clear so I think insurance will settle knock-for-knock.
i remember when i took my test, the rule was you should only use the right hand lane on a r/a to turn right..anything before and including 12 o'clock you use the left..(unless road markings say otherwise)if its still those rules which i presume it is then i would expect it to be settled knock for knock as already mentioned

yes i suppose that correct but like i said, if your not turning right, then you should be in the left hand lane regardless off how many lanes..i know its different in the real world from driving tests but im sure the insurance company would go by the highway code if it means getting out of paying up..also not sure if the rules have changed etc..

but if he cant turn right and ur lane exits to the 2nd land of the duel then its his fault and he crossed in to ur lane his fault and go to court and fight it
same thing happened with our work van and went to court and the other person lost

thats what i was saying before as to whether the rules have changed..if you were to do that on your test though you would fail
i did it on my bike test and my car test and passed both. Where the test centre was it was a 50/50 if you had to go across the r/a or go the other way. I got it on both.
Bike test about 12 years ago and my car was about 5 years.thing is though on your test you are expected to be in the left hand lane at all time's unless turning right, so it's very misleading as you can do it but also shouldnt be in that position in the first place. I've just tried wording how you can do it but i confused my fucking self lol
