Default Finders keepers?

Hey all,

Last year i found a Rolex watch box in the boot of my M3 i bought, Sadly just the box and not the watch!!

My question is can i legally sell it on ebay? I dont wanna get done for stealing etc Btw i bought the car over a year ago and have since sold the car.

Cheers

did the seller come to you a few days later asking you abou tth ebox?

no?

consult a proper lawyer otherwise you can sell it on ebay and pay the laywer fee's

or sell it on ebay and keep everything you get for it

other than the ebay fees

and paypal fees

etc

honestly though mate, what did you think would happen?

1) the previous owner of the car LEFT it in the car you bought
2) I assume he/she has never contacted you for the box?
3) do you really think the previous owner of the box would report you to the police for selling a box which he/she left in a car they sold you?
4) i suppose you also think they'd take you to court?

Leave the poor dude alone!

Hes asking a genuine question for heavens sake. Ok it may be an obvious answer to some, but to him it clearly wasnt.

If the seller of your car hasnt asked for it back in a year, its a safe bet he doesnt want it or forgot he even owned it, so I doubt he'll be scanning ebay for it

bet hes waiting for a rolex box to turn up on e bay -
its easy just get e bay to flag up rolex box newly listed,
what makes you feel it aint a snide-anyhow
flatten it with your boot and bin it-the only person wanting one of those is a replica escort cossie owner with a replica rolex!!!

Whoa there, my mate did this years ago. He bought a Merc E Class and in the boot there was a Rolex box and an Asda carrier bag, he sold the Rolex box without asking for permission, when the Police pathologist did the autopsy the cause of death was strangulation with Asda carrier bag.

Step away from the Box!!
