What is the difference between radiators and intercoolers or are they the same thing?

I see alot of people put rs500 intercoolers in but does it replace the radiator or does it go in front of it? If it goes in front do people change the stock radiator and how does it get air?

Then i see something that looks like a radiators/intercoolers but thinner, what is it?

Sorry dont have pictures to show you what im asking.

Sorry i know this is a dumb question but if i dont ask i dont know.

Also can you put a turbo from a van in a car?

radiator's are for council pop. Intercooler's are for air. Your turbo damper question was answered last time you posted it.

understanding the rest but what do you mean by "council pop"

rs500 coolers are larger than the standard intercoolers and cool the air from the turbo before entering the inlet manifold ,

the rad just sits in behind it and can remain standard or changed to alloy rad for better cooling

and the turbo damper supports the turbo
