think you have to use the 4x4 prop and your have to change the beam and the driveshaft lobro's are bigger on the 2wd too

you can use a complete 2wd diff and rear axle etc,
i've vhad 1 on the back of my 4x4 for couple years and never had any probs
2wd diffs etc are stronger too so better

4x4 box wont fit 2wd tunnel, 2wd diff will bolt to 4x4 prop. Ratio is 0.02 out against a 3.62 4x4 front diff, so will be fine.

you just need to cut a small slot in the tunnel to open it up to clear the transfer box,
done this to a couple of shells,
the front chassis legs are differant on early shells aswell,
the 4x4's have a little arch at the cross member for the shafts to have extra clearance

my 3 door has a slight notch in tunnel to clear the transfer casing its cut into the gutter part were the bolts for the mounting go, it also has a home made box cradle to shift the box over a little for extra clearance
i dont have the half moon arch in the front chassis legs on mine, i run coilovers and its quite low and it never hits on the chassis rail so the cutouts are unnecesary imo
i also use 2wd rear diff and beam with no problems

my estate never had the arches on the front either but never had any probs with it,
the couple i've done needed the tunnel cut, as the gearbos would never have fitted,
the 3 dr tunnel must be differant
