has anyone from here done a home study course and got a job after completing the said course?
or are they a load of wank?

 

The Open Univiserty courses are VERY VERY VERY highly regarded mate, pretty much top of the list iirc as it takes real dedication and you dont have the support around you that you would do at a normal uni.

 

depends on the course in question and the field i'd imagine

as an example; do you remember those "Train to Gain" adverts on the TV; they used to do alot of IT types courses? they used to say earn 30k+ after completing one of thier courses. complete and utter tosh!

 

i had considered an it course recently with joskos but i am reluctant to part with my cash.

im just fed up with my job as a hgv driver, i really want something that will give me atleast the same money or more than im getting now but i dont want to drive.
would like an office based job or just something which doesnt involve mega hours
