If a tree is stripped of its bark.....will it die???
I Ask as my dog has just stripped the bark of an Acorn tree in the garden

yep - just dont let your dog do it in the park or some do-gooder will report it and you will have loads of hassle.

Acorn tree so that's an oak and if the bark is stripped it could be ok as long as he's not gone through the cambian which is the green as that is what carries all the energy and water etc around the tree
