Default modded car but filler cap comes off?!?!

Hi.
I rebuilt my engine some 1000 miles ago, the rebuilt included new piston rings and big end bearings. Also did the valve stem oil seals etc. The car has a pace alloy intercooler, ahmbed bayjou 195bhp chip and mahle low comp pistons, but if you run 0.9 or above bar of boost, the oil filler cap pops off which means the car stalls when not revving the car
I have one of those oil filler caps with a crup screw and large oil ring on it etc, so am going to try and fit it. Is there another way round this or has anyone had experience with this happening on modded engines? Also, when running higher boost you can smell a kind of petrol/burning oil smell from the dump valve.....?!?!?!
Thanks, Paul

Are you still running the standard breather?

That was the problem with mine and as soon as I ripped it out and replaced it with the Bailey Breather, problem gone!

make sure the 1 way valve is the right way round on the breather line. It should not allow the boost to pressurise the sump

Yeah.
Still running standard breather..... seen them for sale but didn't realise that they played such an important part in the smooth running of the engine... what exactly do they do? will get on e-bay now and get one bought
