i cant think why new gaskets would be leaking. are they the correct gaskets?
try taking them off and applying some blue hylomar then putting them back on and maybe doing them up abit tighter?

Take the gasket off, give it all a really good clean and before you put the gasket back on smear some clean-ish engine oil around it. Just persevere with it and you'll eventually get a good seal.

If they are the std tin covers check the holes haven't pulled out of shape due to over tightening, if they have flatten back down with bar and vice so dead flat, I used some of the pinto r/c metal plates to help distribute clamping force better on mine, had no leaks.
