basically my brother has a ford probe me and my mates call it the anal probe i hate this car and have told him to get rid but he wont each to there own.know he called me earlier saying he had broke down rac came out couldn't get it going it wont crank and wont go if toad up the road i suspect immobiliser.i cant get to look at it until Sunday but just wanted to know if anyone on here knows anything about this shit car common problems etc any help would be appreciated thanks

 

Imobilizers pack up module box is behind centre consul where it meets the dash also ignition modules are prone for going inside the dizzy typical mazda shite lol.

Tell him the timing belts gone and maybe he'll scrap it!!!!

not that it matters, tell him the belts broke and buy a decent car

 

distributor went on mine.650 smackers just to buy it at the time,they are well known for this on the 2ltr model.same symptoms as me,would start,cranked over but just never sparked.i fear the worst for him.

 

it was just a blown fuse and bad contact on engine control realy wish he would get rid of it not a bad few suggestions but he would still want me to repair it even if the timing chain snapped he loves it thanks

 

I know fella,guy I worked with had one and loved it,couldn't understand why,it's not even like it was fast OR particularly reliable!!!
