Exclamation 99 Escort Van 1.8 non-turbo - Wont start...help!

Van was having trouble starting in the mornings, but then ran fine all day no worries.
Changed the glow plugs and the feed wire/bus bar connecting them was rotten, so replaced that also.
Conected it all back up, but now the engine wont start at all...
Battery is fine, relay clicks, all conections are clean, engine turns over but wont fire. Tried the fuel primer incase air got in...
Was trying to save a bit of cash by doing a DIY job, my knowledge of engine mechanics is limited though, I've just been reading up/learning from other threads on here...
Have no clue why its not working, any advice/help greatly appreciated!

Cheers now,

I went through the same thing.Right first of all when turning over the engine does the immo light flash under the clock if not open the injectors"17 spanner" and turn over the engine and see if you get any diesel. You be a pro at engines when you finished with the van.

Cheers mate, but I sorted it. The Glow Plug Fuse had gone. Thanks for the help though.

James, I've just had a simillar prob, my dash and side lights were out, fuse fine, apparently its a comon thing with escorts and the whole multifunction switch (indicator stalks) need replacing (£20 from breakers) just done mine and the side lights/dash lights are working again.
