Default HELP: MK1 FRS Bumper

Hi Chaps,

Looking to buy a MK1 FRS bumper for my MK1 Focus TDCi. Just need to know 2 things really:

1) Will it be a direct fit to my car? ie will it fit on to the original mounting points already on the Focus, and will it fit the arches without any work being needed.

2) Any websites that sell the foglights/surrounds and indicators to fit the bumper? as the bumper im buying doesnt include these.

Thanks in advance

Tom

For standard items, Ford.

Thanks in advance

The focus front bumper is held onto the wings by wing rail clamps, don't know if standard focus have these also!

You'll need RS wings for them to meet up properly.

It's WAY more than a quick trim up, you most likely will have to cut the bumper in half and shorten it. Plus the flare on the arch wont match anywhere near

Better off buying a replica RS bumper thats ment for the normal mk1's or just get a collection / reiger bumper.

I had them from ebay off a bloke who give up trying to fit them to be fair they were a terrible fit I've cut and shortened the front one by approx 30mm and I gave up trying to fit the fibreglass rear so I cut the valence off It and mounted It on the std Ford bumper and blended It In...
Its been a pain In the arse but worth It tho I think...I'll put some build pictures up when I get home from work

If the car has to be kept on the road due to time constraints I would go for the collection bumpers as they are ford Items and bolt straight on I think any fibreglass bumpers would be a pain to fit..

There Is a rs replica bumper kit on ebay I think,a bit steep In price though at Ł400 Ish although the seller says should go straight on I would take that comment with a pinch of salthttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-FOCUS-RS-...item5193972363

That black one Is quite similar and Its already been fitted could be a good bargain there

That ebay link is the guy ive been speaking to. Ive got him down to 170 inc postage on a front bumper..but doesnt comke with any lights/gills or anything..

I really like the black bumper as its similar to the rs, but just a bit more aggresive..but thats the same price as the other one.. id rather have a rs replica ones..i might just take the plunge..
