See the thread i just started ref my tank mate! It is only 5 gallons as that is all that will fit!

 

ive been trying to find a pic of the space for a fuel tank,i cant but its loads bigger than a standard cossy tank

yes your right,it has taken nearly 3 years now .good news is i now have the r33 skyline box

yes thats how mine was done. and that was the easy bit the rear end is the hard part. brom at zoo makes some nice cos adjustable rear suspension.with a few plates welded in it should be easy to fit a cos rear suspension

 

how did you do the rear if you dont mind me asking, i was hoping that was going to be easier than the front. have you got anymore pics?

 

if you put the cos rear beam under your escort, you will find that none of the mounting points are near the chassis,i cut out the sierra rear chassis and overlayed it onto the escort,then plated all the gaps.i used 2mm steel plate at the cosworth mounting points.i have some pics but they are too blurred to post.

 

very nice just blewn my escort up put a hole in number 1 piston shit happens

 

lloyd, thats what i had intended to do, i still have the rear mounts for the rear beam from the sierra. thanks for the help mate.

what shocks are you fitting? coilovers or springs?when are you going to fit the rear chassis? as there are loads of problems.i can save you lots of work my car will be at central day at the pod in april,i can then explain what you will need to do

 

luke,the engine and skyline box are being fitted next monday

 

oh nearly forgot,you will also have to alter the rear inner sill to get clerance for the rear beam
