when you delete a friend of your list do they get a message about it or do you just dissapeer?

I want to remove a couple of so called friends off mine that have just caused me a whole heap of shit and would prefer them to not notice it's been done in there face so to speak..

Be great if Facebook had a system where you could give a reason why you removed someone. Like an Ebay feedback system. Would be great to see some reasons for why people get removed

 

I generally have a 'if I wouldn't have them round my house, I won't have them as a friend on Facebook.' rule. There are a few exceptions, but it's served me well!

 

+1, i genuinely know well, or speak to regular, 99% of the people on my 'freinds' list. its these tw*ts with 2500 freinds that make me laugh, they evidently think it makes them look 'popular', when in reality, they prboably dont know 2300 of them.

 

I just click accept to anyone that adds me as I figure they must have a reason to need to contact me or they wouldnt add me, and as im shit with names im never really sure if its someone I know or not anyway, ive got people ive known for years and reguarly talk to when I see them but wouldnt have a clue what their surname was etc.

But then I just view it as an address book really and I have never put anything personal or private on there, and I dont really use any of the "social netwanking" features anyway other than people sometimes tag me in pictures or vice versa.

Depends what you use it for as to who it makes sense to have on there or not, I would imagine difference people use it for different things, to me its mainly just an address book, but if you are one of these people who uses it to talk about your lovelife etc then I guess you would care who sees it. Horses for courses etc

 

Good rule to use. I agree with Chip too, I don't stick anything too personal on there and all my profile information is bollocks. Use it mainly to keep in touch with folks I meet as my friends and family are all around the world, not just in the UK. Easy way to keep in touch.
