A couple of years ago i owned a BEIGE 1977 fiesta 1.1L that was totally original and mint with 30k genuine on clock.
after melting a piston in the original lump (i used to drive to ashford daily flat out down the m20, and with the low ratio box it aint gonna last), i installed an xr2 kent, with uprated carb, new xr suspension and brakes. running on supersport rs 4 spokes. otherwise the car was internally/externally std, chrome mirros,bumpers, beige grandad interior the lot! I sold it to a guy from croydon regrettably for a bargain £650. saw it on ebay bout a year later and it made £800 with no mot n work needing doing to it. i was gutted. WHERE IS THIS CAR NOW??? still in saarf london? reg is SMK 116S. any info would be great, if its still around n ok, i might just want it back!!! got a 2.0 mk2 ghia almost ready to go.
