Well after the fire on track at Ford Fair, its time to pull it down and get it rebiult









There is loads to do, it has even melted the heater box and matrix inside!!

 

i think you've been really lucky mate cud have been alot worse,gud luck with the rebuild,why did it catch fire?

 

Sad news mate is the inside car loom ok as i no a lad that is selling one out of a 3dr

 

thats not good mate good look with the rebuild mate i missed this on track too

 

real shame but good to see you not giving up and starting again mate good luck

I think I read it popped an injector o-ring off?

Tis a sad sight good to see it's being rebuilt, bigger and better I hope?

Cheers, my bro-in-laws burns are gettin better, his hand and arm was the worst!
Turned out that the head of the front fuel rail bolt sheered off, letting the rail move out and the o ring blew out!!
I have got a long way to go, I have a parts list as long as my arm!
It even melted the clutch cable quadrant on the pedal box.
Worst bit is havin to put a car loom in it.

Had the fuel rail bracket snap on my billet rail just before Ford Fair

So lucky my friend spotted it when we were checking oil/water.

Glad to hear you boys are on the mend, arms take longer to rebuild than cars! You are very lucky. Fitting a lifeline system once its rebuilt? I know i am after seeing this. Good luck boys

Well it was a big today, bein rebiulding after tha fire, got her runnin today!! No water in it yet or boost hoses on but I just wanted to start it. Lots and lots still to do, its had a full rewire, new dash, heater , the list is endless. Gone for a swedish plen now, reyland fuel rail, FES regulator, all on -6 now, polished TB and modded for ALS.
Just got to push on and finish it now! Cheers

Yes M8. My bro-in-law is ok now, he has some scaring on his arm as a trophy!
