Default Saff coming on boost late

Was out in the saff on the weekend and I don't know if it's just me or the car is coming on boost quite late....knocking on for 5k before full boost

Breif spec is,

T34.63
Siemens 55's
Ported head
BD12 + 14 cams
7:5.1 comp
500 cooler
mongoose system, 3'' from turbo back
MSD 380 chip

I don't know weather I'm just used to the power now or there's a problem cause the car just doesn't seem to pull as hard when it comes on boost.

Any ideas what it might be or am I just being daft?

Possibly a boost leak, check all the hoses.

it should be on full boost before 5000rpm, my old t4 made full boost at 4500rpm.

cam timing could be out?

I think there is a bit of a leak mate...the car is meant to spike at 32psi and hold 30 but it tapers off to 25....I'll have a good look when I get home

Possibly but would that not effect the running?

I'm hopefully going to get it into MSD towards the winter

That turbo will normally have 32psi before 4000 rpm in 4th gear. Start looking for airleaks and bad wastegate sealing etc.

Well I've looked all over for loose hoses but cnt seem to find anything....I was hoping it wouldnt be a problem with the turbo as its relatively new (probs done less than 4k) but from a few things I've read on here I'm starting to think it could be the waste gate penny not sealing properly......

Took the car out for a good run the other day on some long streight roads...Up until 4k the boost gauge is reading a vaccum, at 4k the gauge reads 0. From then on the needle on the gauge seems to vibrate if you know what I mean, then at 5k the guage reads a max of about 27psi

Hence the reason I was thiniking it could be the penny....What does everyone think???
