Default desperate need of a number plate??

hi chaps on saturday i got pulled for not having a front number plate,my own stupid fault but obviously i need to get a number plate on there and get the sheet signed of and sent back.bought a number plate today but just doesnt really seem anywhere i can mount it nicly on the front end (as it wont bend to shape of bumper ect) and one of the mot testers at work told me to get a transfer plate?? he said there more like a paper type thickness and sort of go to any shape and just stick on. now is this so? and if so where can i get one from pretty fast?

Any good graphics company should be able to make one up for you. But it must conform to the standards and DVLA state they are not aware of any adhesive ones that currently meet the standards.

If you know a decent MOT centre they'll stamp it and not look at the car. I done this and even parked the car in the Police car park with the illegal number plate still on it whilst I handed it in

However, as said above, car graphics places or caravan accessories (the stick on number backings and digits)

No, No, you are right but I believe a car which is made/imported which does not allow the use of a standard size plate are permitted to display a variation on the plate.

Which I think is how the older cars have got round this.
