Restoration q's

Restoring a car atm and stuck on weather i do the underside to a finished standard before paint or do i get the car painted then do the underside or does it not really matter?

We did the under side completly on a 3 door then it went for a full repaint

up to you really, depends if you want to get everything tip-top then covered in overspray.

I'm doing the underside and engine bay then it's going for the full paint on the rest of the car.
