Some fucking Belgium driver was in a hurry and wacked his container trailer into my cooler trailer. And fucked up the side and the complete door. YOu have to know that the door of a cooler is more then 10cm thick. Well the twist lock was INSIDE my trailer. At the company i work for we take care of our stuff. We like little lights on our truck. Wash them every week if we can and no metter how old we always make them look good. We work hard and there for we dont had any problems in the crisis. So when someone wrecks something like this you can understand i allmost cried when the fucker just drove off to fucking nowhere leaving me with a wrecked trailer. Even the police couldnt find him. Fuckhead.

Anyways i was trying to make a very tight turn and i had to be very carefull not hitting the cooler motor. I allready seen the guy behind me waiting. So i watched again in my mirror and didnt see him anymore. At that point i thought ah well doesnt metter. But then i heard some cracking noise,reving engine and i could feel the trailer just moving without me touching the gas. So in a split second i just jumped out my cab. Runned to the belgium driver and wanted to rip his fucking head off. I did not see the damage at that point. After allmost hitting the guy i turned my head to the back of my trailer. He fucking berried his twist lock in my door and wrecking everything around it including the hinge (spelling?). So at that point i could kill the guy. But i thought no lets move my truck and make the papers. SO i did. Looked in my mirror before getting out. And what did i see? The fucker was allready at the end of the street making his way to god knows where. Leaving me with the damage. After 5 mins of swearing and shouting i called the police. But after taking my info they said: well good sir. If we cant find him we cant do anything. So the insurance will say fook off pay it yourself. Yes very nice.
This is my truck at the moment. ANd i will place pics the the damage tomorrow.

 

I feel for you fella really do just hope the repairs ant to much which as you know they will be
and unfourtanly they dont give a toss and nor do the police half the time
its to much hassle with interupters etc
bloke at our place nearly took the side of my cab of yesterday another 1 got a white licence claims its been in the washing machine more like came out of a kellogs box

 

bloke in a forign lorry smashed up a merc outside of harrods and then drove off, i witnesed te whole thing, go tthe plates and everything

police said they would do something but never did

don't let forign lorrys onto british roads until they get properly insured and tracked and make them responsible for the damage they cause

and then, don't let them drive away, lcok the fookers up until tey can proove they are able to cover the cost of any damage they've caused

too many of the fookers here anyway

Here some pics. The trailer is a write off. Its 16y/o and the repairs would be around 18k in euro's to fix. Only the stainless steel portal where the door hangs in is around 6500euro. And with that there is still nothing repaired. The trailer it self is only worth 6 or 8k at the moment as there are enough on the market. With all the company's going bankrupt etc etc.

 

they write these off for that. jesus, dont look enough damage.

 

You have to pull the door open and close it with a forklift. So you tell me. Doesnt look to bad but some parts cant be bought separate from the rest. The stainless you see on the left can is one piece and welded INTO the floor. As you can see its just ripped there. The door must be completely new. Don't forget stickers etc etc. There is more to it then just what you see on the pics. Plus dont forget 16 years old. Worth not much more then 6 or 8000€. And for the stainless alone they ask 6500. With that you only have the parts. But still no door,stickers etc etc. And don't forget man hours. They don't work free these days
