FAO: People in Chester Area
As above.
Going to Chester for a couple of nights with the girlfriend.
Any must-do's when in around that area? Just planning a lazyish break, shopping, eating, drinking etc... but wouldn't mind a heads up for other things to check out when we are there.
Tah

Staying in Chester yeah. Think we are going home via Manchester, spend the day in the Trafford Centre. I had thought about swinging by Liverpool on the way down though, so that is deffo an option!

It's ok if he wants a broken car, smashed windows then Blacon is the place. 1/2 mile from Chester centre.

Forgot also river walk is ok, also the gardens near by.
Try the Cheshire Cat for a meal (Ł6-8 taxi each way) quite good food, only do it if the weather is good as it's a nice little walk near the Canal.
I live by the horshoe pass, great road on the way to llangollen but not if your like me and afraid of heights. Wrexham isnt that bad, the frog n nightingale in chester down by the canal is great and they always have live entertainment on in the evening.
If you are after something to do in the afternoon I would recommend going to Cheshire Oaks in Ellesmere Port, loads of shops and the marine centre is great entertainment. Demon Tweeks in wrexham is a good place to have a nose at as there are always some racing cars in the showroom etc.
Hope this helps

Yep platinum lounge is good if you're out with the lads, a few nice birds working there at the mo
Not really any 'must do' things in chester though, it's just a generally nice city, good atmosphere, your mrs will love it i'm sure, small enough to walk round the city centre, take in the canals and the river, walk the roman walls, visit the amphitheatre, cathedral, loads of nice places to eat, this place is a fave of mine for a chilled out lunch:
