Right rather a strange 1 but i was wondering if any is running 1 of stus uprated fan swith on a standard rad???
Ive just ditched my ally rad n gone back to a standard rad with a standard fan switch,
Problem is im struggling with temps but not in the normal way, my fans are now cutting in at 85c n not cutting out till 75c,
now in my opinion this is a little to low!!! i would much rather the fans cut in about 90ish but cut back out about 79ish,
I have a uprated fan switch sitting in my tool, box that used to be in my ally rad, i was wondering if this would solve my issues or would this raise the bar to much n the chance of the fans cutting to Late?
Cheers jay?

Uprated Radiator fan switch for All Sierras.
This switch will usually switch on your fans at around 90 Deg C and Off again at around 87Deg C
It works the best and closest to those temperatures in an uprated alloy radiator, but it is a good upgrade for normal radiators too in my experience, working around 93/90 in std radiators.
this was taken from stu's ad on ebay for his uprated switch.

thanx 4 the replys.
I will give the up rated fan switch a go!
Personally i prefer the fans on to be controlled by the fan switch, it leaves less to chance n eliminates human error!
1 slip n u have a engine boiling mud

The bog standard "uprated" fan switch will be fine, actually better as the hysteresis is much smaller, personally I would never chance the temp by switching manually, as you say only need to forget once and it could be a expensive mistake, but I do have a warning light for my fan/s.
I have put a blue led in the top left corner of the rev counter to come on with the fans, just gives a bit of reassurance, and looks pretty too, should have used a pink flashing one!!
