Default Rebuild

My cars been smoking for a while now and never been sure weather to buy a engine already rebuilt or rebuild mine myself, this morning i though fuck it i ll rebuild mine with the help of gary kitchen devil

Not to bothered about 200 blocks so will either use my 205 thats in my car or use a 202 which i have in the garage.

Wheres the best place for pistons ? and which are the best, going for standard comp with valve cut outs.

Cheers paul

If going with less than 500bhp, std mahle are well up to the job, and have stacks of meat for valve cut outs, the person I use charges around £35-£40 to do all the cutouts, NOT per piston, I used mahle myself, as just about done mine myself(nearly finished, other things to do).
My engine had done 200,973 miles on std bore, and even after this mileage it only needed a polish on the crank big ends and mains so still std size!!
