Default Bonnet raisers on a 3dr???

Hi folks, looking for a little advice on fitting gas bonnet raisers/struts on a 3dr cossie. I've seen them on many cars including saff's and was wondering if any members have tried with which brand and with what results?? . hope to hear back soon, cheeRS Marco.

I love the way most of the replies do not even relate to the question in the original post.

Goes to show how much attention most people actually pay or in this case, how much attention people do not pay.

Irony being neither of you pair of cocky cunts replied to the original posts question either

Fair point though, I missed that......I wouldn't bother with them tbh, had trouble with them on an escort turbo years back, after the bonnet came through the screen on a dual carriage way I decided they weren't all they were cracked up to be and refitted the prop

but surely if your bonnet popped up while driving its not the bonnet struts problem - its with the catch as that should stop it coming up?

Not having a prop at the front gives you a little more room to work in the bay too

It's quite common for the bonnet catch to let go on the old mk3/4 scorts, just dont think the force of the struts helped matters....it peeled the scuttle panel up nicely either way They looked toss any hows
