Hi there i,ve noticed this morning the o/s front bumper has dropped leaving around 1-2 inch gap ,just had a look thinking it was the support brackets or wing fixing that usually go but there all ok, so ive tried taking the whole bumper off to no avail due the 13mm n/s wing bolt just spinning . The actual problem is , is that the o/s bumper bar that goes into the chassis rail is rattling about , we tried adjusting this with the torx screw thats there but no joy.
How does the torx screw and square washer thingy in there too hold all this tightly? , is it a case of some wd40 in there to free it up so it can 'lock' in place. Due to the other side not coming off i cant see the other sides position , the bar has a good 2cm play in it up n down
cheers in advance

best way to get the bumper off is to take off the black strip that run's right around the bumper then drill off the pop rivit's for the bracket. there's a couple underneath the bumper as well. least then you'll be able to see your problem a bit better.

Piece of piss to do, takes all of 5 minutes, easy to do a permanent 100% totally failsafe solution too.
For it to drop that much suggests the metal work between bumper, height adjuster bracket has rusted through, or more likely the metal plate bonded to the bumper itself has snapped.
I can sort this for you if you want at same time as pump mike ?

The spinning bolt thing is normal, both mine did it, it's now held on with 2 SS bolts and nuts, 10 mins work with a file to file away a edge of the support so a nut can be pushed up between support and bumper inner and the SS bolt goes right through the lot(need to cut bolts to size, but SS and coppaslip = no more problems.
I saw Southend on the tv last night with the boy racer program, was hoping to see some ladies but no luck!!
