Default Brake warning light stuck on - help pls?

Just running through some of the possibilities and would appreciate any ideas lads?

Car been off the road for 6 or more months. Brakes were disconnected and blanked off with hardly any fluid loss... all bled and feel good. ABS light goes off as it should, its just the handbrake warning / fluid warning one that is staying on.

What I've tried so far includes:

Fluid level is good and have changed the level sensor / reservoir cap switch with my saff one (which works on that car)

Pulled off the abs pump connection and reconnected a few times (but need to check to hear if this running once I've left it awhile).

Pulled the handbrake on and off a lot in case the switch is sticking - think this is under the centre tunnel plastics if I need to get to it???

If I am overlooking something obvious lads - would appreciate a nudge please - dreaded MOT on Monday ;(

I guess the car was stored with the handbrake off? If it was stored with it on it could easily be the switch has jammed. The switch is indeed under the centre console and is just an earth for the bulb. This is what I would be looking at.

Remove the 3 pin connector from the brake fluid reservoir and see if the brown/green wire (that goes to the handbrake switch) is earthed with the handbrake off. If so, you may have put a trim screw (along the sill on the driver's side) through the wire ?

Just gone out to bring the car into the grarage and it went out!!! Cossie wiring gremlins!!!

Thanks for all the ideas and help - may still need them but for now it works
